Waltzingmouse March Blog Hop

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone and that's the Hop topic today (or Irish or Green)!

I've had a sore week - which hopefully won't end up with a long visit in the doctor's office next week :0( so decided to keep my hopping card pretty and simple. This focuses on the GREEN ...

WMS Blog Hop March 2012

I used the beautiful "Roses in Bloom" set on this card, which very kindly arrived in the mailbox YESTERDAY and had a few quiet moments colouring with Copics ...

...and doing some background stamping with an old favourite - Faux Fun.

Keeping it short so that you aren't delayed!

Hoping you have a wonderful trip through blogland and thank you for stopping in!

Hugs!

Soft Baby Girl

Hi Lovely People!

Here is the next installment into the local Baby Box ... something a little more soft and visually more 'full', than my previous cards.

Soft Baby Girl

I decided to make my Nordic Winter stamps do double duty for this one - not so Christmassy anymore :0) The little rolled roses are a My Favourite Things Die - those things have paid for themselves a hundred times over! (Always stick that 'u' in there and have to go back and take it out :0)!

Soft Baby Girl

And there it is in full!

Thank you for the visit today! I was hoping to play along in a couple of different challenges this week, but here is Saturday and it didn't happen - I guess next week is another story and can have new hopes of it's own!!

Hugs to you!

Little Chickie

Here is another for the baby card run! And this one was a whole lot of fun to put together. A little colouring, a little 2 step and background stamping, a sweet die cut ... and a little masking and sponging.

 Little Chickie

This one doesn't have too much of any one thing - I really enjoyed dabbling a bit with different crafty approaches in making it.

Little Chickie Deet

All just fun! I think this may be my personal favourite of the year so far :0)

This is off to play in the Waltzingmouse Gallery again this week! I hope you're all getting some good, happy, satisfying crafty time in!

Happy wishes, peeps!

Star Baby

Hello Lovely World :0)!

I'm back in the Baby Card groove - it's a local fundraiser time again ... so this is one to get started:

Star Baby

It was fun to paper piece this one and the little button in the centre is all blinged up with some leftover Stickles from Christmas :0)

Star Baby Deet

One down - about 10 - 15 more to go ... (eek!)

Hope you're having an awesome day! We have FRESH snow on the ground and some sunshine - but the crocuses have finally shown some little leaves - and are whispering sweet things about spring!

Quilted Flowers

Hellooo Peeps! Happy weekend!

Here is a little card that I wanted to pop into the Waltzingmouse Gallery Challenge this week, and also into the Tuesday Trigger Challenge at the Moxie Fab World which is called "Home Sweet Home" -  this cutie picture was up as the inspiration ...

I immediately thought of Waltzingmouse's "Sewingbox Hugs" set - which has an adorable little cottage image in it (so tempting to just pop that card in .... :0)

However, I decided to use the floral images from the set as paper pieced "appliqued" images. I also wanted to try and create a 'faux hand quilted' look, by heat embossing a stitched image on the background of the card in white on white:

Quilted Flowers

I really liked the idea of paper piecing to try and emulate the different fabrics that had been sewn into the original inspiration piece ...

Quilted Flowers Deet

Well, there it is. Now this card is off to do some real work, thanking a very kind friend who went out of her way to help me!

Thank you *so much* for stopping in!

Get Well

Helloooo lovely people!

Good thing I don't depend on my blog for a living, or I'd be starving right about now wouldn't you say!? :0)

How many people blogged yesterday - the 29th of February? Any 29th birthdays? Do you celebrate on the 28th or March 1st? It must be quite a lot of fun to be a leap year baby!

Here is a little CAS get well I made recently. It incorporates some of my very favourite things - texture and shimmer ...

Get Well

The sentiment strip is vellum and heat embossed in silver - kind of hard to see, but quite delicate. The butterfly is coloured with Copics.

Get Well Deet

And there it is! I hope March is off to a great beginning for you - and that you have lots of inky days ahead - I'd sure love for a few more to come my way!

Happy Days!
